ハァ…というため息から始まり、タイトル“セクシー・ママ”の通り、ちょっとセクシーな…曲です。
シングルカットも、モーメンツのアルバム“Those Sexy Moments”より。

実は80年に“Special Lady”というあのおしゃれな歌を歌った“Ray,Goodman＆Browne”のことだったんですね。（そういえば聞いていた気がします）

モーメンツは1978年までにグループとして合計27曲のR&Bチャート・ヒットを記録するほど活躍を見せていました。そしてスタング・レコードから脱退し、大手ポリドール・レコードと契約することになったのですが…スタング・レコードは 「モーメンツ」の名前を所有しており、スタングからの移籍＝モーメンツの名前を使えなくなる、ということだったんです。
そこで彼らは「開き直り」（！）、自分たちの姓である“レイ、グッドマン＆ブラウン“を名乗ることにしました。彼ら曰く「本名なら、誰も僕たちの名前を奪えないから」…！ （心が強いですよね）(^_^)
