来日中のジャクソン・ブラウンですが、今回、広島公演ではやはりこの曲を歌ってくれたようですね。

　「The Crow On The Cradle」は1979年にニューヨークのマジソン・スクウェア・ガーデンで行われた「No Nukes （原子力発電所建設反対運動／反核運動）」コンサートにて、ジャクソンはグラハム・ナッシュ、デヴィッド・リンドレーとともに披露した曲で、この曲が含まれたライヴの模様を収めたアルバムは同年にリリースされています。（また1982年に発表されたシングル「Somebody's Baby」のB面にも収録されました）


　そして、原子爆弾が落とされた都市“ヒロシマ”にて、原子爆弾を他国に唯一落としたことのある国からやってきた自分（たち）について深く考えることがあるようです。“ヒロシマ”公演だからこそ...この曲を...というのがジャクソンの気持ちなのでしょう...。
